One BA — Two Diplomas
University of Tyumen (UTMN) and Don State Technical University (DSTU) have signed an agreement for the network based program of IT major.
University of Tyumen (UTMN) and Don State Technical University have a long-standing collaboration, particularly between their strategic academic units — SAS and School X. Yesterday, this collaboration reached a new milestone. During the major meetup #Инженерырешают, held in Rostov-on-Don, UTMN and DSTU signed an agreement for the for the network based program of IT major.
Starting from the next academic year, SAS students who choose IT major will receive specialized education at School X, which prepares systems engineers with a unique set of skills and competencies. Consequently, these students will relocate to Rostov-on-Don for two years. Upon completion of the university program, the students will be awarded two diplomas — one from UTMN and another from DSTU.
The partnership between SAS and School X can be regarded as a successful practical implementation of the educational model 2+2. During the first two years, students receive a broad interdisciplinary education at SAS, while the next two years focus on specialization and immersion in real engineering projects at School X. It is believed that the acquired knowledge and values formed during the learning process will help the graduates confidently navigate their future trajectories, both in academia and their careers.
