You. University. Future
The School of Advanced Studies (SAS) invites 11th graders to participate in the “You. University. Future” Intensive Competition. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience academic life at one of the most interdisciplinary institutions in the world. Winning the competition allows participants to earn bonus points towards their Unified State Exam results when applying to SAS.
About the Intensive
The “You. University. Future” Intensive Competition allows prospective students to immerse themselves in a rigorous and interdisciplinary academic environment at SAS. Participants will gain firsthand experience of what it is like to study at SAS and explore potential academic interests.
First held in 2021, the Intensive has attracted over 350 11th graders from more than 35 regions across Russia. The program is conducted in English, providing participants with an excellent opportunity to improve their language proficiency.
During the Intensive, participants will:

Attend Seminars: Engage in thought-provoking seminars led by SAS professors from diverse international backgrounds, coming from 10 different countries.

Work on Interdisciplinary Cases: Collaborate in small groups on complex cases, utilizing AI and moderated by SAS students.

Enhance Writing Skills: Develop essay-writing skills with a focus on argumentation, structure, and thesis development.

Participate in Panel Discussions: Learn about the state of contemporary higher education and the future of the job market.

Interact with SAS Students: Explore the SAS experience directly from current students, who will share their stories of university life.
Bonus Points
The most active and competitive participants will receive 10 bonus points toward their Unified State Exam results when applying to SAS.
These points will be awarded upon completion of the assigned tasks during the Intensive and will be automatically added to your exam results once your enrollment documents are submitted.

Work in teams to solve a complex case, moderated by SAS students and present your solutions to a panel of experts for detailed feedback.
Participants will complete individual tasks focused on writing essays in English, including structuring arguments, developing thesis statements, and building coherent narratives.
Receive personalized advice from SAS students, professors, and administrators on how to sel ect a program that aligns with your academic and professional aspirations.
How to Participate
To participate, 11th graders should submit an application form, available here. Additionally, applicants must submit a 1–3 minute video in English answering the following question:
“In a world wh ere AI systems can replicate and even surpass human creativity, intelligence, and labor, how do we preserve and redefine the concept of human legacy? Will our cultural, intellectual, and moral contributions be overshadowed or reinterpreted by machines, and what does that mean for our understanding of what it means to be human?”

Where does the Intensive take place?
The Intensive is held at the School of Advanced Studies (SAS) building in Tyumen, located at 8 Marta St., 2 Bldg. 1.
Who can participate?
The event is open to 11th graders and recent college graduates planning to enroll at a university in 2025. 10th graders may apply, but their applications will only be considered if there are available spots.
Is there a selection process?
Yes, participants are selected based on their video submission and completed application form. Please ensure all information is submitted correctly.
Will meals be provided?
Yes, SAS will provide meals for all participants throughout the event.
Is accommodation provided?
No, SAS does not provide accommodation, but we can recommend nearby hotels.
