SAS Major Fair: Helping Students Make Informed Choices

At the end of April, SAS hosted a “Major Fair” event, which was designed to help second-year students choose their preferred area of study.

Distinct from traditional undergraduate programs, SAS students have the opportunity to switch their major. To assist second-year students in making an informed decision, third and fourth-year students from each of the 7 programs presented their majors. They shared information about their professors, courses, and experiences, and even discussed their thesis topics.

In a typical university, students choose their major based on website descriptions and promotional materials. At SAS, students make their decisions based on their own two years of learning experiences and advice from their peers. This approach helps students make the right choices and fosters a community where students can inspire each other to achieve academic success.
