Introduction to Finance

This course provides students with a working understanding of the concepts and techniques of modern financial theory.

The class is divided into three sections:

- First we will review the structure of financial markets, and basic financial analysis.

- Second, we will study interest rates, the Bond market, and Equity markets.

- Third, we will examine how firms manage their capital structure.

Our focus will be conceptual as well as applied, in that we will use Excel to implement computational examples of each topic.
