Psychoanalysis: Then and Now

This course is a journey to the past of psychoanalysis and its possible future. We will study concepts of psychoanalytic thought and get acquainted with major psychoanalytic thinkers (Freud, Lacan, Miller, and others).

The course will discuss “the death of psychoanalysis” — the critique of psychoanalysis from the critical thought, and scientific perspectives (with the contribution of Todd Dufresne, one of the most well-known critical readers of Freud).
