Mathematics for Economists

This course covers those mathematical concepts and problems which are key to Economics and closely related fields.

On the one hand, the course is supposed to familiarize students with the real world situations and problems for which certain mathematical tools become essential. On the other hand, the course should give students the knowledge and experience they are expected to have after graduation (further education/workplace). In particular, the course has an extensive discussion about optimization.
