Criminolgy

This course is designed to provide a sociological analysis of the nature and extent of criminal behavior across the globe. 

Included in this course will be a review of past and current theories of criminal behavior as well as empirical research in crime. In addition, this course includes discussions on society’s responses to crime, the concept of rule of law as applied to criminal behavior, and the strengths and weaknesses of criminal justice systems as they attempt to address criminal behavior.
