Blockchain is a very complex, opaque technology that has recently gained widespread acceptance. Distributed ledger and cryptography technologies provide opportunities that deserve special attention.

The course focuses on the innovation and advantages of blockchain technology, provides an overview of blockchain features and instruments built upon the blockchain. Over the duration of the course, students explores the potential of the blockchain, as well as the effects of the technology on other industries.

Could tokens be viewed as assets, digital rights or money? What rights have a holder of tokens? What are the differences among digital currency, virtual currency and cryptocurrency? These and many other questions will be addressed.

The course arming students with the knowledge of regulation of blockchain industry especially the various types of crypto assets and decentralized finance enhancing understanding of blockchain opportunities. Students will sort out token as utility, cryptocurrency and security, making tests, discover practical aspects, gain a general conceptual understanding of the possible applications and implementations in the context of law.
