Artificial Intelligence: Features and Regulatory Framework

We are on the eve of the wide adoption of various uses of artificial intelligence and robots. The development of artificial intelligence systems (“AI”) will doubtlessly continue.

Technological progress cannot be stopped. Interactions with human-like, intelligent inanimate objects should have an appropriate framework. The process of improving the legal regulation of artificial intelligence systems is constantly continuing.

One of the most significant current discussions is the key policy and legal issues around usage of artificial intelligence for control and dominance. Along with the growth of artificial intelligence's ability to generate intelligent solutions, there is increasing concern over human rights and the competition between humans and AI.

The course focuses on specific features, ethics and regulation of Artificial Intelligence technology. Through an engaging mix of introductions to AI technology development, legal approaches to AI, case studies, students' learning journey will bring an understanding of the foundation of AI regulation and problematic issues of implementation.

Particular attention is given to general description of AI technology, notions of AI, legal and social status of AI, problems associated with AI, automated decision-making and processing, human rights and AI, ethical approach to AI, IP rights and AI, autonomous vehicles, AI in a business, finance, medicine and jurisprudence.
