International Security in 21st Century
This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental theories, key concepts, and central issues in the field of international security. Through eight weeks, students will develop the analytical skills necessary to engage in ongoing discussions about security threats and their implications. The course is build on three pillars.
The first pillar deals with different theoretical interpretations of international security. The second one focuses on various security phenomena, problems, and strategies, including the use of force, deterrence, counterinsurgency, nuclear stability, weapons of mass destruction proliferation,arms races, disarmament, security cooperation, and other. And third pillar, provides students with a broad range of analytical tools to better understand and contribute to current debates on international security.
