Banking is a branch of financial science that studies the order of creation, regulation of commercial banks and peculiarities of their presence in various segments of the financial market. Among the most urgent problems of modern banks is the ability to withstand crisis and maintain stability.
The course will help to identify the problems of risk and develop strategies to reduce risk to a minimum or avoid it altogether, as well as consider a number of other important components.
Students will be able to acquire knowledge about banks, their services and operations, revenues and profits, the risks of banking activity, the system of banking regulation and supervision and will consider the basics of analysis of statistical information about banking activities, as well as modern scientific research. Students will be able to conduct their own primary research in the field of banking and finance, present and publicly defend the scientific results obtained.
