History of Russia

The course serves as an introduction to reviewing the main episodes and themes in Russian history, positioning it both within the context of Global History as an integral component and within the broader phenomenon. It also explores the peculiarities of the distinctive Russian model of development.

In contrast to other history classes, the emphasis is not solely on memorizing data but on learning how to effectively communicate history to diverse audiences. The course aims to instill a historical analytical approach, a valuable transferable skill. For international students, it provides an additional channel to learn about their host country, while for Russian students, it offers an opportunity to refresh general information and apply analytical skills to the data they may have learned previously.
