Paideia

Παιδεία/Paideia is a Greek term used to denote the rigorous education that a member of society underwent to become an ideal community member. Paideia focused on instilling virtues in young individuals, and Athenians believed that an education combining cognitive, moral, and physical dimensions was practical and suitable for shaping future citizens. The interdisciplinary tradition, which SAS aims to embrace, traces its roots to this educational ideal.
