Xindi is a PhD candidate in History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she currently holds an MA. She also holds a BA in English: Cultural Studies and East Asian Studies from McGill University in Montréal.

She has taught for the past 4 years in political philosophy, media studies, geography, and critical race and ethnic studies. She is currently finishing her dissertation/book project on what she calls the «resilience trinity»: the management of contingency between ecology, finance, and technology. Her second project is tentatively titled Age of the World System: Contemporary Cybernetics and the New Cosmopolitanism.

Xindi’s research and teaching interests are in cybernetics, resilience (as it is given in the encounter between uncertainty and contingency), the philosophy of science, Black Studies.
