Marko Turk

Marko Turk is from Croatia and has been working in academia since 2007. He is an experienced mid-career researcher in the social sciences with a particular focus on topics related to higher education, the academic profession, teaching competencies, and the European dimension in education.

He has served as an OECD expert for the HEInnovate initiative, a member of the European University Association expert group, a national representative in the ICED network, and the president of the Association for the Higher Education Development “Universitas”. He has contributed to research projects financed by the European Science Foundation, the Croatian Science Foundation, and Erasmus+ grants. Moreover, he was a doctoral and postdoctoral scholarship holder in Germany, Switzerland, and the UK. In 2013, he received an award for being the best junior researcher at the University of Rijeka (Croatia).
