Dmitry Yakovlev

Dmitry Yakovlev studied physics at University of Tyumen. His scientific interests include scanning probe microscopy and the processes of heat and mass transfer in micro- and nanostructures.

In 2014, Dmitry decided not to continue his academic career and initiated the opening of an open technology coworking space, FabLab UTMN. As CEO of FabLab UTMN, Dmitry participated in the development of the federal network of Youth Innovation Creativity Centers, attended conferences at FABLAB Academy FAB12 (2016, China, Shenzhen) and FAB15 (2019, Egypt, El Gouna), launched educational and technological projects, predominantly in robotics and 3D printing. In 2017, he became the winner of the "Young Entrepreneur of Russia" competition in the Tyumen region.

Dmitry is an expert of the National Technology Initiative, a tracker of acceleration programs, and a mentor for startup projects.
