Denis Sharapov

Denis Sharapov is an anthropological archaeologist who is interested in understanding how the development of early complex societies in the grassland steppes of northern Eurasia compared to similar processes in other world regions. He is a University of Pittsburgh (USA) graduate, where in 2017 he defended a PhD dissertation titled “Bronze Age settlement patterns and the development of complex societies in the Southern Ural steppes (3500-1400 BC)”. Denis is a US Fulbright Scholar (2018-2020), whose works have been published in Germany, the US, and Russia. Currently, he is a researcher at the International Laboratory for Climate Change, Land Use and Biodiversity at the University of Tyumen.
