Olga Andreevskikh is a media researcher, doctoral candidate at the University of Leeds (UK), and holder of a PhD degree in Philology. She specialises in contemporary Russian media discourses, gender and queer studies. She has presented her research at international conferences in the UK, Finland and Portugal. She has published articles and book chapters on celebrity studies and digital activism and has participated as an invited expert speaker in radio programmes and public talks about media discourses on gender and sexuality in Russia. Olga has contributed to the design and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses on new Russian media taught in British and Finnish universities. Before relocating to the UK, Olga had worked as an assistant professor and tutor at the Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistics University named after N.A. Dobrolyubov and at the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Higher School of Economics.
