{{1}} Admittance

You can be admitted to the SAS through any of the 7 educational tracks with a corresponding set of United State Examinations:

  • Economics
    (USE: Russian, Mathematics, Social Studies)

  • History
    (USE: Russian, Social Studies, History)
    7 tuition-free places + full-fee places
  • Biology
    (USE: Russian, Mathematics, Biology)
    10 tuition-free places + full-fee places
  • Media and Communications
    (USE: Russian, Literature, Social Studies) 
    7 tuition-free places + full-fee places
  • Arts and the Humanities
    (USE: Russian, Foreign Language, History)
    7 tuition-free places + full-fee places
  • Sociology
    (USE: Russian, Mathematics, Social Studies)
    7 tuition-free places + full-fee places
  • Applied Information Science
    (USE: Russian, Mathematics, Informatics and ICT)
    10 tuition-free places + full-fee places
After being admitted to the SAS you will find yourself in a common educational space. Whichever educational track you used to get admitted does not matter for your educational path at the SAS. After your second year, you will be able to choose any of the 7 majors.

{{2}} The Core

1/3 of the course load in the SAS BA program is comprised by the Core – a series of mandatory courses that provide you with a multidisciplinary outlook and a set of universal soft skills.

{{3}} Electives

1/3 of the course load is comprised by electives that students choose among a large variety of courses designed by the SAS faculty

{{4}} Major selection

After their second year, students select one of 7 majors, which comprise 1/3 of the total BA program course load

In addition to the major, students can select a minor from the same list.

{{5}} The Diploma

All SAS graduates receive a state-honors Bachelor’s diploma, indicating the major selected after the second year. A minor, if selected, will also be acknowledged in the diploma.
